LIGHTS.CAMERA.BLOCKCHAIN.

Documentary | Calladita

What if the future of cinema didn’t depend on Hollywood?

LIGHTS. CAMERA. BLOCKCHAIN. is a documentary that tells the story of how a decentralized movement is reshaping one of the most closed industries in the world — filmmaking.

At the heart of this story is Miguel Faus, a filmmaker who, in 2021, faced the same challenge as countless directors before him: how to turn a vision into reality without the backing of powerful producers, studios, or industry connections. The answer came from an unexpected place — web3.

With the support of 700 strangers from around the world, Miguel crowdfunded Calladita, a film that went from an independent dream to a Netflix feature. Along the way, he received a $150,000 grant from acclaimed director Steven Soderbergh, met Roman Coppola, and earned a Goya nomination for Best New Director.

But this isn’t just Miguel’s story. The film explores how blockchain technology is empowering artists, dismantling traditional gatekeeping, and blending cinema with the world of digital art. Featuring works from renowned creators like Cath Simard, Justin Aversano, Guido Disalle, Claire Silver, and iconic projects such as CryptoPunks, Bored Ape Yacht Club, NounsDAO, Ringers by Dmitri Cherniak, Fidenza by Tyler Hobbs, and Art Blocks.

LIGHTS. CAMERA. BLOCKCHAIN. is about more than film — it’s about a revolution in how stories are told, funded, and shared.
